Services
The Menu
At the Irishman’s Shanty, we have full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus with items prepared in our complete kitchen. Breakfast items include things like eggs and toast, hashbrowns, bacon, steak, ham, omelets, and more. Our 1/2 pound fire grilled “Shanty Burger” is locally famous. Lunch items include items like lemon pepper chicken salads, chicken strips, hot and cold sandwiches. Our evening menu offers delicious BBQ pork ribs, the best prime rib steak in the Valley, excellent ribeye, sirloin, steaks, walleye, jumbo shrimp, shrimp scampi, Alaskan king crab legs, grilled chicken with Wild Rice, pork chops, seafood, and main dishes, along with the majority of the lunch items. We also offer a children’s menu “for the wee folks”.
Dining Room
Call for reservations for small or large parties. The dining room can accommodate 90 people. If our banquet room is not accommodating your function, we can set aside the entire dining room under special circumstances.
Banquet Services
We can house large groups - up to 65 people (classroom style)- for class or family reunions, showers, graduations, birthdays, dinners, annual parties, and other meetings. We have a full open bar available too! There is no charge for the room, there is no deposit, and you do not have to pre-order. Paul will work to create menus, specials, and extended hours as is reasonable. Just call and ask for Paul!
Bar
The bar has two corner TV’s and one BIG screen TV and can accommodate 60 people. There is a shamrock in the bar that you have to come see. Irishman’s Shanty offers a selection of liquors, liqueurs, wine, beer, and cocktails. You can order food off the menu and enjoy a more relaxed non-smoking (by recent Minnesota law) atmosphere and some TV. We have a pizza oven after the kitchen closes!
Catering Services
We can cater to most sizes, locations, and types of functions. We can service class reunions, family reunions, graduations, showers, dinners, birthdays, annual workplace parties, and other meetings or business meetings. We cater to reunions, weddings and other events at the Maple Lake Pavilion in Mentor, MN. We also cater to functions at the Crookston Armory. We have catered to many farms in the area before as well. We can set up an open bar and along with any mixers, we sell kegs of beer or bottles of wine. For catering questions, call Paul!
Off Sale
The off sale offers a selection of everything we serve in our full bar plus additional wine, beer, and liquor selections. We do sell kegs upon request. We usually stock some in the summer. Our selection does have a very good variety; don’t let the size of the off sale fool you!!
Pictures
Here are a few pictures of our venues. Two of our bartenders painted the outside of the building in summer 2008, which we really need a picture of. It took them about a month and they did a good job. There are some pictures of our other venues too. We just got a big screen in the bar which is used for news, sports, and weather. We particularly need a new banquet picture. This one is an old black and white that was scanned in for the website. We will work on getting more recent pictures.
